Bills receive opening kickoff… Josh Allen intercepted on drive
The Bills received the opening kickoff and started well as Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs connected for 42-yards on the drive. But it ended in a turnover as Allen was picked off looking for Dawson Knox.
Allen rushes in for a TD, Bills take a 7-0 lead
The Bills forced the Jets to a 3-and-out on their first drive, and Buffalo settled in on their ensuing drive.
Buffalo moved down 67 yards in 14 plays, ending it with a pair of rushes by Allen that eventually put the Bills on top.
Jets tack on three, Zach Wilson shaken up on drive
The Jets responded with a field goal, partly thanks to a 15-yard penalty by Jaquan Johnson on the drive.
On 3rd down, the Bills stopped the Jets, but a late hit by DaQuan Jones had some cause for concern for Wilson, who was slow to get up. However, it looks like he is okay.
Allen takes off for 36-yard touchdown run, Bills take 14-3 lead
The Bills put together a 9-play, 93-yard drive, capped off by Allen bursting through blockers for a 36-yard rushing touchdown.
Michael Carter scores rushing TD, Jets cut Bills’ lead to 14-10
Talk about long drives! This time, the Jets went 75 yards in 13 plays to make it a one-possession game before halftime.
Tyler Bass misses 55-yard field goal attempt before halftime
Allen drove the Bills into field goal position, but Bass couldn’t hit a long attempt before time expired at the end of the half.
Halftime: Bills – 14, Jets – 10
Von Miller sacks Zach Wilson, stops long Jets drive
The Jets started with the ball to open the second half and faced a 3rd & 6 inside the red zone. Miller was able to strip-sack Wilson, stopping New York from adding a field goal.
Sauce Gardner picks off Allen, second interception thrown today
After being sacked by Quinnen Williams on first down, Allen turned it over, getting picked by the Jets’ star rookie Sauce Gardner.
James Robinson powers in for TD, Jets take 17-14 lead
Off the Allen interception, the Jets made up for their previous miscue.
Four plays for 19 yards was enough to put New York on top. It was Robinson’s first touchdown as a New York Jet.
Bass hits from 51 yards out, Bills tie game at 17
Buffalo used James Cook several times to drive down into field goal position. On 3rd down, Allen tried to find Nyheim Hines downfield, but the pass was too long.
Bass made up for an earlier miss to tie the game.
Jets take time off clock, go ahead 20-17 after chip shot field goal
The Jets held the ball for over six minutes, ending in three points to re-take the lead over the Bills.
Josh Allen will have less than two minutes to come up with points.
