SUV driver injured after crashing head-on with RTS bus
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — First responders had to rescue a driver from her SUV after she crashed head-on with an RTS bus with passengers inside.
It happened on Friday around 9 a.m. at Bay Street near Second Street. Rochester Police say the SUV driver, 31, has significant but non-life-threatening injuries. She underwent surgery. Some passengers had minor injuries but none were taken to the hospital.
RPD says the Chevy SUV swerved in the opposite lane on Bay Street before the crash. She was taken to Strong Hospital after the Rochester Fire Department freed her. RPD is still investigating the crash.
