Car sale on Facebook Marketplace turns into car theft in Irondequoit

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — Irondequoit Police say a person stole a car while meeting up with the owner who was selling the car on Facebook Marketplace.

It happened on Wednesday, Aug. 21. on Helendale Road. Police say the suspect was meeting with the seller at his home to pay him for the car. Instead, the suspect shoved the seller and drove away.
