Community invited to support First Responders Week

ROCHESTER, N.Y. Rochester Area Crime Stoppers and The Distillery Restaurants are teaming up to host First Responders Week Nov. 27-Dec. 4.

The event will feature eight days of special discounts, giveaways and promotions, including a daily gift card drawing for first responders.

Local businesses have so far donated gifts and gift cards for first responders totaling over $2000. Gift baskets include a variety of wine and spirits, car wash and oil change coupons and tickets to Amerks First Responders Night in February.

“Distillery has always supported first responders, and Crime Stoppers wanted to create a special event for first responders after this challenging year,” said Joyce Palumbo, Crime Stoppers board member. “It’s hard for most people to imagine being first on the scene of a fire or accident or having to experience the trauma of caring for a shooting victim. This is an opportunity to honor the service that first responders provide to the community.”

All local Distillery Restaurants are participating in First Responders Week and the gift card drawing. The public is invited to drop off gift cards of any type with a message of support for first responders at Distillery restaurants located on Mt. Hope Avenue and in Victor and Henrietta.
