Three tractor-trailers crash on I-90 Geneva exit, spilling shampoo on the road
GENEVA, N.Y. — Three tractor-trailers were involved in a crash on I-90 near the Geneva exit on Thursday morning, shutting down the area and leaving shampoo bottles scattered on the road.
All three drivers of the tractor-trailers were taken to Strong Hospital with minor injuries. The right lane of the eastbound lanes remains closed by milepost 327.6. That’s between Exit 42 to Geneva and Lyons to Exit 43 to Manchester and Palmyra.
The crash happened around 4:35 a.m. when the first tractor-trailer carrying shampoo bottles hit a guard rail and turned on its side. When another tractor-trailer hit it, the impact caused the shampoo to spill over the road. Another tractor-trailer then hit the second tractor-trailer.
The state’s Department of Environmental Conservation is helping to clean up the spill.
