ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A fire tore through a boarded-up house on the city’s northeast side on Friday morning, causing the roof to collapse.
The fire broke out just after 4 a.m. at the two-and-a-half-story vacant home on Watkin Terrace, between Hudson Avenue and North Street. Crews battled the flames with house lines and brought it under control in just over an hour.
The Rochester Fire Department is still investigating the cause. No one was injured.
