Crews battle house fire on Sherman Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Crews battled a house fire on Sherman Street near Otis Street on the city’s northwest side on Friday morning.
The Rochester Fire Department initially got a report that people may be trapped inside the two-story home, but after searching the home, no one was found inside. Crews arrived around 5:40 a.m. and it was under control in 20 minutes.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
