ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A firefighter was injured while battling massive flames at a house on Roycroft Drive on the city’s northeast side Friday morning.
It took the Rochester Fire Department 45 minutes to control the flames, which completely charred the house and damaged a neighbor’s car. The firefighter was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.
The flames broke out just after 5 a.m. at the two-story house. Firefighters used hose lines and worked to stop the fire from spreading to neighboring homes. RFD is still investigating the cause of the fire.
