Man charged with DWI after rollover crash with injuries in Perinton
PERINTON, N.Y. — A man is facing charges after Monroe County sheriff’s deputies say he was driving drunk and crashed into a car with four people inside in Perinton on Thursday night.
Elvin Tablada, the 52-year-old man charged with the DWI, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The two children and two adults in the other car had minor injuries.
A GoFundMe has been created to financially help the family.
Deputies responded to the rollover crash on Route 96 near Thornell Road around 6:25 p.m. and rescued Tablada who was trapped in his car. Deputies say he was the only person inside that car.
Investigators say that Tablada, a Macedon resident, crossed the yellow line while he was traveling west and hit the other car. He is charged with Felony DWI because of a previous DWI conviction and with aggravated unlicensed operation.
East Jefferson Road has reopened after being closed due to the crash.
