Crews battle fire at two-story home on Taylor Street on Rochester’s west side

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester firefighters battled flames at a two-story house on the city’s west side Friday morning. RFD says no one was home at the time.

Crews responded around 4 a.m. to the home on Taylor Street after getting a 911 call from a neighbor saying the living room was in flames.

RFD’s Engine 5 arrived and took hose lines inside the home to fight the fire. RFD says the damage was contained to the first floor living room. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
