Deputies investigating hit-and-run that killed 1-year-old child in Yates County

YATES COUNTY, N.Y. — A 1-year-old child in the road died Thursday after being hit by a vehicle that kept driving and left the scene.

It happened on state Route 364 in the Town of Benton, just west of Carroll Road.
