ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Thursday kicked off the school year’s first Do the Right Thing awards ceremony to show recognition for some exemplary local students.
Ten students from schools in and around Rochester were honored for being role models by demonstrating courage, thoughtfulness, and generosity.
“There’s a quote, it’s by a woman named Margaret Mead and it says, ‘Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it’s the only thing that ever has,'” Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said. “You are that small group of thoughtful, committed citizens and you have changed the world.”
Congratulations to all the winners and keep doing the right thing!
