ROCHESTER, N.Y. Faith leaders held a “Youth Blast” event to engage with the community over the weekend. Genesee Street was packed with people, and had various group activities.
The event was all about community, and relationship building. It was hosted by Aenon Missionary Baptist Church. Kids were able to express themselves in many ways, and one way was dancing.
Blast Youth Ministry, through Aenon church linked up with Molina Health to make this event happen. There were a ton of things to do, especially for the kids. There were animals, a bounce house, dancing and of course food. There was even a spot for people to get active and do some rock climbing. Members from Molina Health say they’re proud to be a sponsor, that getting to know the community face to face is important.
“We’ve had COVID, we’ve been stuck in the house, it’s really just about giving back we’re really happy that Aenon allowed us to come and give back to the community of course Molina is an insurance company but that’s only one side of the business but really the engagement piece we want to make sure we can give back to the communities that we serve,” Kelston Luces said, with community engagement for Molina Health.
This was a completely free event, the church group says more events are coming soon.
