Firefighter hurt while battling fire on Joseph Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A firefighter was hurt while battling a fire in Rochester Friday morning on the city’s north side.
The fire started around 5 a.m. at a former grocery store on Joseph Avenue. The firefighter was taken to the hospital, but has since been treated and released.
The building collapsed during the fire and was torn down.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
