ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Thus far the month of October has brought seven out of eight days with below normal temperatures. Today has been no exception, as readings were in the 50s all day, it was another cooler than normal day for Western New York. Another cold front is set to cross the area later tomorrow and although it is not a strong front, this will reinforce the chilly weather into Monday.
Tonight look for partly to mostly cloudy skies. There is the small chance of a few lake sprinkles south of Rochester. The low temperature will be near 43 degrees. Sunday should bring a few breaks of sunshine for the morning, then clouds will fill in again for the afternoon. There is the chance of brief shower. The high temperature is expected to be near 60 degrees. If you are going to the Bills game in Buffalo at Highmark Stadium it appears the overall conditions should be decent for football. If you are tailgating, there is a small chance of a passing shower before game time. However, the remainder of the day looks breezy and dry. The temperature should remain in the middle to upper 50s.
Columbus Day will feature a few passing light showers. There could be a few breaks of sunshine for later in the afternoon. Expect a temperature in the mid 50s. Tuesday we can look forward to more sunshine and it will turn warmer with the mercury rising into the middle 60s.
