ROCHESTER, N.Y. So far this November we have lucked out in avoiding the chilly weather we are used to during this month, and you want to enjoy it before bigger changes move in next weekend.
Today, we will be seeing a few isolated showers this morning before a mixture of sun and clouds this afternoon. A rogue shower cannot be ruled out this afternoon or evening, but most turn dry later today. We will not be as warm as yesterday, but still mild with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s!
Winds will also not be as much of a factor, but we will remain breezy with winds near 20 m.p.h. High pressure takes over across our region through the middle of this week with an abundance of sunshine and clear skies. This is great news for the Total Lunar Eclipse Tuesday morning!
Skies continue to trend clear for Monday night, which means we will have a great opportunity to view the Lunar Eclipse. You will have to look low in the western sky for the moon as the moonset is just after 7 a.m. It will be a little hilly for Election Day, but highs return to the mid-60s by Thursday and Friday.
Friday will be when we track our pattern flip. A strong cold front will swing by late Friday and Saturday, which will bring us a chance for widespread rain, but the more noticeable change will be the cold air.
A strong surge of cold air is expected to swing through with highs next Sunday tanking into the upper 30s and low 40s, and this surge of cold air looks to continue into that following week as well. So, enjoy the warmth before the inevitable happens!
