First Alert Weather: Fair skies through Thanksgiving Day with some showers on Friday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — There will be fine weather throughout Wednesday for travel and getting last-minute things ready for Thanksgiving.
It will be mostly sunny and pleasant in the afternoon, in the mid 40s. Fair weather is expected for Wednesday night. A chilly start to the day is expected for Thanksgiving Day, in the 30s, but plenty of sunshine will boost temps to near 50 with light winds and just a few increasing clouds later in the day.
Not a lot of rain on the way for Friday but if you are planning to go shopping early have the umbrella ready in the morning hours Friday.
Drier in the afternoon but a gusty wind will add a chill to the air as temps fall back into the 30s and low 40s. Nice weather on Saturday with rain likely Sunday. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest on the timing of the rain Friday and its impacts on travel Sunday.
