First Alert Weather: Showers and thundery downpours for Monday afternoon

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Lots of clouds are around on Monday morning with muggy weather and some drizzle to start the day.

There will be some dry weather for a few hours in the morning, then showers and thunderstorms will be on the increase toward midday into the afternoon hours.

Keep the umbrella handy and an eye on the sky as any storms today may bring heavy rainfall and a gust of wind. More of the same in the forecast tomorrow before drier air returns on Wednesday.

Fair weather is in the forecast later this week into much of the weekend ahead. Stay tuned to News10NBC for updates on any storm development this afternoon.
