ROCHESTER, N.Y. — After a little snow on Thursday night, a few slushy spots are possible on roadways for Friday morning, so watch your speed as you head out for the AM commute.

Temperatures are heading a little above freezing and a few rain and snow showers are in the forecast in the afternoon. However, no accumulations are expected.

Nothing more than a snow shower is expected for Friday night. Temperatures will drop into the 20s, so be aware any slush out there may turn into ice. For the weekend ahead, some lake effect snow will develop off of Erie and bring locally heavy accumulations out towards Buffalo and some decent snows into parts of Genesee and Wyoming Counties.

This snow will bring some heavy snow for the Bills game Saturday night. Occasionally some of this lake snow will move into Rochester and the Finger Lakes but any accumulations will be minor through the weekend. Stay tuned to News10NBC for updates on the lake snow this weekend and potential for a storm later next week.
