ROCHESTER, N.Y. – If you have plans to travel, or have family or friends traveling into town for Thanksgiving, our weather really couldn’t be better. A weak cold front dropping south tonight may spark a few flurries or sprinkles from Lake Ontario, otherwise we’re partly to mostly cloudy overnight. Both Tuesday and Wednesday will feature a mix of clouds and sun with high pressure passing by to our south. Highs on Tuesday will make it into the upper 30s and lower 40s, with mid 40s expected on Wednesday. Thanksgiving Day itself looks great! We’ll see a fair amount of sun and highs near 50. Great for a nice post-Thanksgiving dinner walk.
After that, we’re eyeing a potential system that may impact some travel, but at this point, we expect to be on the milder side of it, which would mean just rain showers for us. That being said, there are still a lot of questions regarding track, intensity and timing of this post-Thanksgiving system, and there’s a good possibility the forecast may change. We’ll monitor any change, and urge you to stay updated on the forecast if you do have plans to travel. You can do that right here on WHEC.com, on our First Alert Weather app, and of course on-air. As we say…stay tuned!
