First Alert Winter Weather Outlook: How will winter show itself this season in Rochester?

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Winter is almost here, which means it’s time for the First Alert Weather Team to give their winter weather outlook.

How much snow could Rochester get? What’s some of the worst weather our region has ever seen? What was the coldest month on record? If Mother Nature doesn’t give us snow, how is fake snow made? How will this year size up to our recent winters?

First Alert Meteorologists Rich Caniglia, Stacey Pensgen, Glenn Johnson, and Nate Morris have some answers and educated guesses for those questions.
