ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Rochester Fire Department found a body inside a house on Garson Avenue where they were battling a fire on Sunday. The city’s Arson Task Force is investigating.
The house is off Webster Avenue. Rochester Police say they don’t know if the body belonged to a man or woman because of its condition. Officers and firefighters are working with the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine who the person was and how the person died.
The Arson Task Force, a collaboration between RPD and RFD, is working to determine what caused the fire. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
