ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Hundreds of runners braved the morning rain during this year’s Rochester Half Marathon and 5K. This was the second year back since the start of the pandemic. More than 1,400 people were expected to participate in the race.
Some of our own were even out there, including News10NBC Today anchor Brennan Somers, who had to walk this year because of an injury.
“This has been a good year. Obviously since COVID, many races have dropped, that’s just the nature of what happened. But, this year we’re over 15% from last year, so we’re really, really, pleased by the attendance,” said Ellen Brenner, VP and Co-owner, Fleet Feet Rochester & Buffalo.
News10NBC was a proud sponsor of this year’s Rochester Half Marathon and 5K. You can see the results of the races here.
