AVON, N.Y. — A 61-year-old man is charged with manslaughter after Avon Police say an argument led up to a deadly fall at his home on Sunday.
Officers got a call around 2 a.m. for a person injured after falling at a home on West Main Street in the Village of Avon. The person was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he died. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.
Police determined that the suspect, Johnathan Mills, had been involved in an argument. In a criminal complaint, it said Mills intentionally pushed the victim down a flight of stairs at his apartment out of anger.
Mills was charged with manslaughter and taken to the Livingston County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
Police say additional charges may be filed, and anyone with information should call Avon Police at 585-226-3720.
