Man in 50s shot on Sherman Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police are investigating after a man in his 50s was shot on Sherman Street near Lyell Avenue in the daylight on Tuesday.
RPD says they applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding from his lower-body gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive.
News10NBC’s crew saw several police cars at the scene and saw officers working to search a house. RPD shut down Lyell Avenue from Whitney Street to Broad Street for their investigation.
RPD says no suspects are in custody.
