ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The annual lightning of the Liberty Pole took place Saturday night in downtown Rochester, with Mayor Malik Evans, city councilmembers, a brass band and Santa on hand to greet families.

Following the lighting of the pole was a parade that made its way to the Roc Holiday Village.
