ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A crash in Genesee Street on Monday led to Rochester police chasing a suspect on foot.
The Rochester Police Department said it started at around 2:15 a.m., when officers tried to pull over a truck on Jefferson Avenue and the driver didn’t stop. Officers said the truck ran a stop sign at the intersection of Genesee Street and Flint Street and crashed into another car.
When they arrived, police say the driver of the truck ran away on foot. He was later caught.
The 34-year-old driver has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated and other traffic violations. There were two people in the other car that was hit. Neither of them were injured.
