Man convicted of murder, gun charges in 2022 killing on Lyell Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A jury convicted a man of killing a woman in Rochester he didn’t even know.

Ammenra Felton, 32, has been found guilty of murder and gun charges. He shot and killed Charlotte Thomas on Lyell Avenue, near Child Street, in January 2022. He then took off to Texas, where authorities tracked him down.

Felton is sentenced to be sentenced in October.
