Man is recovering after shooting around Depew Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man in his 20s is recovering after a shooting around Depew Street and West Avenue on Thursday.

Rochester Police learned about the shooting after responding to Strong Hospital just after 5 a.m. The man was taken to the hospital to treat a lower body gunshot wound and he is expected to survive.

There are no suspects in custody. RPD is asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 911.
