Man shot on Lyell Avenue Saturday afternoon

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A man was shot just before noon on the city’s west side is expected to survive.
Rochester Police say the man showed up at St. Mary’s. He had been shot in the lower body. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Officers say the shooting happened on Lyell Avenue between Daus Alley and Saratoga Avenue.
