March 1 deadline to apply for enhanced STAR property tax exemption

ROCHESTER, N.Y. If you’re at least 65 and looking to save on your property taxes, the deadline to apply for bigger savings through New York state’s enhanced STAR property tax exemption is March 1.

If you already get the STAR credit instead of the STAR exemption, you don’t need to do a thing. The tax department will already upgrade you if you qualify. You can apply here.
