Mayor Evans visits businesses on Monroe Ave ahead of Small Businesses Saturday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Thanksgiving and Christmas are the holidays on everyone’s minds right now but there’s another important celebration coming up: Small Business Saturday.

Rochester Mayor Malik Evans visited several small businesses on Monroe Avenue on Wednesday to get into the small business spirit.

He stopped at Aladdin’s Natural Eatery, Poster Art, Archimage, and Aaron’s Alley. They have all been in operation for more than three decades.

“These are great staples in our community and it’s important that we support our small businesses,” Mayor Evans said. “There’s a stat I always give people. It says that if one in three small businesses in America creates at least one job, America could be at full employment. So it tells you the power of our small businesses.”
