Medical examiner investigates after inmate found dead at Ontario County Jail

ONTARIO COUNTY, N.Y. — The Monroe County medical examiner is working to find out how an inmate died. He was found dead at the Ontario County Jail around 5:45 a.m. on Monday.
Paramedics confirmed no signs of life and the coroner pronounced him dead. The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says the man was the only person in the cell. The man’s name has not been released yet.
