National Grid Upstate New York employees head to Florida for hurricane relief
FLORIDA — Power line workers from National Grid Upstate New York are heading to Florida to assist in preparation for Hurricane Milton.
Since Sept. 28, about 160 National Grid employees from New York State have been helping to restore power in West Virginia, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina after Hurricane Helene.
With that work wrapping up, the crews will head to Florida to support Duke Energy.
