Police recover gun thrown by man running from police during traffic stop near Clifford Avenue
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — On Monday at 5:20 p.m. police went to Culver Road and Parsells Avenue and found evidence that shots were fired as well as damage to an empty building.
During the investigation, police found that a car was possibly involved in the shooting. Police found the car on Clifford Avenue and initiated a traffic stop near Clifford and Barons Street.
A 19-year-old man ran from the traffic stop. During the foot chase, he got rid of a gun, which was recovered by police. The man, along with others in the car, was taken into custody.
Police are still determining if the people in the car are connected with the shooting on Culver Road. Charges are yet to be determined.
