East Avenue reopens after police determine package is not a threat
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — East Avenue at the East End has reopened after being closed due to a suspicious package on Monday.
The Rochester Police Department’s bomb squad has determined that the package is not a threat. Officers had closed East Avenue between Mathew and South Union streets to both cars and people.
RPD received a call around 9:45 a.m. about the package.
