ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is facing charges after New York State Police say he led them on a chase through several Rochester streets and interstate highways on Tuesday.
Troopers say the chase ended when the suspect’s car ran a red light at the corner of Ames and Wilder streets and crashed into another car. The alleged driver, 37-year-old Jaquanz Knight, is now charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer, obstructing government administration, and multiple traffic violations.
State Police say the chase started when Knight refused to pull over. According to troopers, Knight began running after the crash, but they were able to chase him down. No one was injured.
