Man stabbed multiple times around Lake Avenue area

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police are investigating after a man was stabbed multiple times around Lake Avenue on Wednesday morning.
Officers responded around 1:15 a.m. after getting reports of a person stabbed on Lake Avenue near Phelps Avenue. Officers initially didn’t find the victim but found evidence of a struggle. Later, they learned that the victim had walked a mile and a half away to an apartment on St. Paul Street.
An ambulance took the man to Strong Hospital to treat his upper-body stab wounds. He is expected to survive. RPD is still investigating the stabbing and is asking anyone with information to call 911.
