Police: Man fights off robber, cuts hand

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Police are investigating a robbery on Alexander Street.

It happened around 10:50 p.m. near East Avenue. The man told police he was walking when he was approached by someone armed with a knife. The two struggled over the knife, and the victim’s hand was cut.

The suspect ran off. The victim declined medical help.
