Police: Suspect in Newark shooting has turned himself in

NEWARK, N.Y. — Newark Police say a suspect in a chaotic shooting last month turned himself in.
Anthony Canady Jr. of Sodus is facing gun charges. Investigators say he was involved in a shooting on Madison Street on June 22, in which a home as hit by a bullet but nobody was hurt. A handgun was recovered in a nearby backyard.
Other arrests are pending, police say.
