Portion of Route 96 in Farmington has reopened after power line falls

FARMINGTON, N.Y. — A portion of Route 96 in Farmington was closed between County Road 8 and Payne Road because of a power line being down. The road is now open.

The Farmington fire chief said that on Wednesday afternoon, a powerline along Route 96 came down. The portion of Route 96 was closed from around 4:45 p.m. to around 6 p.m.
