“Under his leadership, what was once a strained relationship under the previous administration has been rebuilt on a foundation of respect and trust,” said Rich Tantalo Jr., president of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Police Benevolent Association. “We’re confident that County Executive Bello will continue to standup for us in ensuring our safety of our community and all its residents.”
Mark Assini, Bello’s challenger in the race for county executive, released this statement:
“This is an orchestrated campaign event with public employees. I instead prefer to focus on how to address record crime rates, homelessness and poverty. I am excited to provide our community with an actual blueprint to address this crisis during Thursday night’s debate.”
