Rochester firefighters rescue man who fell into pit

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A person was rescued Tuesday by Rochester firefighters after falling into a pit.
It happened around 8 a.m. on Maplewood Drive. The person had failed about 15 feet. Fire crews set up a rope rescue operation and pulled the patient up. The person was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
