ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Around 11:15 a.m. Sunday, a person walking across the Andrews Street bridge saw a body in the Genesee River, according to Rochester Police.

The Rochester Police Department and Rochester Fire Department responded to the scene and recovered the body from the river. The body was brought to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Officials say the cause of death and identity of the person will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
