RPD: Large dog on leash kills small dog that escaped from house

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say a small dog is dead after escaping from a house and getting into a fight with a large dog on Wednesday.
It happened on Pulaski Street off Hudson Avenue around 6:30 a.m. According to officers, a woman was walking her dog on the sidewalk when the smaller dog approached.
People tried to break up the fight between the dogs, but the small dog died from the injuries.
