ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra took over the Strong Museum of Play on Saturday.
They called it the “Let’s Play: A winter celebration”. RPO musicians and student groups performed seasonal music throughout the museum.
The event also offered music-related arts and crafts, a musical story-time and a new kind of petting zoo you’ve probably never heard of before.
“We have an instrument petting zoo at the RPO so we brought that with us today, giving kids a chance to have a hands-on experience with all the different instruments in the orchestra,” said Barbara Brown, the director of education at Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
Brown says she hopes “Let’s Play” can become a yearly occasion.
