CHILI, N.Y. — The Chili Fire Department spend over five hours fighting a fire at a scrapyard Tuesday night.

The fire department says the fire started when a large pile of scrap metal combusted around 7:30 p.m. It happened at the Union Scrap Processing Site.

Churchville-Chili and Spencerport’s fire departments went to the scene to help along with fill-in support from Scottsville and Gates fire departments. Chili Fire said on Facebook Wednesday it was a long night for everyone who responded.

No one was hurt in the fire.
