ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Rochester Fire Department responded to a house fire on Clifford Avenue. They say when they arrived they found a fire in one of the bedrooms. They were able put it out quickly, and say that fire was started by kids playing with matches on a pile of clothes.

“We do know that it’s something that happens a lot where you have youth playing with matches and they don’t understand how fast fire spreads because they’re interested by how fire looks. What they don’t understand is it can affect you, your home, and your family members,” said RFD Captain David Abdoch.

Everyone made it out in time and no one was injured.
