Driver hospitalized after crash on Lakeside Road in Wayne County

WAYNE COUNTY, N.Y. – New York State Police responded to a crash on Lakeside Road Wednesday afternoon between a car and a tow truck.

State Police say the tow truck was on Lakeside Road waiting to turn left onto Route 104 when a car crashed into the truck from behind. The driver of the car, a 26-year-old woman, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with critical injuries.

Police say the woman is now in stable condition.

Officers are still working to find out the cause of the crash. Both Lakeside Road and Route 104 are reopened to traffic.
