ALBION, N.Y. — People were invited into the Orleans County Animal Shelter in Albion to spend time with pets up for adoption on Christmas. Organizers say it was started under the belief that no one should be alone for the holidays.
News10NBC asked one of the visitors what they think the animals get out of it.
“Love … that’s it. Love. Not everyone gets a hug on Christmas, so this way at least something gets a hug,” Sarah Robbins said.
Last year the shelter welcomed more than 150 people for its Christmas celebration.
